The LS-10 will allow you to record your voice in high quality, but I would suggest spending your money on a good quality mic and sound card unless you specifically need a portable recording device.

Yes, you can use it …
Yes, you can use it just like a normal MP3 player, but you cannot play one track and record a second (overdub/multitrack).
